The purpose of the initial consultation is a meet and greet for you and/or family with the doctor. The aim is to discuss your health concerns, health history, goals you wish to achieve from care and to access any underlying concerns.
Our Exam Process is non-evasive and will establish the level of brain – body connection and proper movement. Tests can include; reflexes, flexibility, neurological assessment, orthopedic testing, postural and physical tests. Digital x-rays are also taken to identify structural imbalances if deemed necessary. X-rays can help us see what is going on and help locate any bone abnormalities, fractures, abnormal curvatures, and reveal any phase of spinal degeneration/osteoarthritis.
After reviewing all the information gathered in the consultation, examination and x-rays, the doctor will be able to give you an accurate assessment of your current health status, primarily focused on the condition of your spine and nerve system.
Following the discussion of where and what is going on with your spine comes the recommendation of care. This recommendation is based purely on the tests and examinations conducted on your first visit. It takes into consideration the severity of your concerns, age and condition of your spine, and time frame of how long the problem has been present for. This recommendation is unique to every individual. The most important part following this recommendation is establishing mutually achievable goals from care that we can work towards. Should you decide to begin care based on the recommendation and goals you set from care, the next step is beginning your care plan.
